Montreux-Vevey

In the French speaking part of Switzerland, people speak French... and French...

Now, back to the travel...The trip to Montreux began early in the morning on May 21; we took the train and arrived in Montreux. As the day was before us, we had a coffee with a nice view to the lake and the mountains. After that we hit the road, walking to the town of Vevey... a small cute town, where Charles Chaplis had lived for a while and where you can see a statue of him.

The area is really attractive and rich, although it is not as touristy as the canton of Ticino.Although, the gordgeous poppies compensated all - soooo perfect and deliteful that you can forget the rest (or at least I could have). After Vevey came the boat and a short trip to the caste of Chillon.

We spent some refreshing time in this ancient castle... great... then walk along the river, saw Freddy Mercury's statue and the time for dinner came....

Eating and going out in Montreux looks like a challenge... Although, there is an oriental restaurant that is unbelievably good!
